Thank you for your generous support of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church. We are who we are, because of you. Thank you. Thank you for loving the child who learned “Jesus Loves Me” this past year. Thank you for loving the 86-year-old woman who was alone in her hospital room with only church members to visit her. Thank you for the beds you gave James and his family of four. Thank you. Thank you for sharing your gifts of time, talent and resources to make St. Andrew’s the welcoming place it is for so many. Thank you for supporting St. Andrew’s in our mission to Proclaim Jesus Christ, Live in Christ, Serve!
As we discern the year ahead, I am reminded that our world is broken and hurt, desperately in need of hope. You and I and all of St. Andrew’s have provided that hope in Christ. In the year ahead, we are asking for your support in a significant way to provide hope to so many more in profound, new ways.
In the coming year, we plan to launch an initiative to multiply our efforts in extending the love of Christ into our community and the world. We will focus on equipping individuals with hands-on tools and resources to share the gospel. Just as Paul taught Timothy, who shared with others who then shared with others, we are invited to follow.
In addition, we are multiplying our efforts in our Care Connection Ministry, training individuals — in addition to pastors and staff — to visit the sick and care for those in need. We are multiplying the ability to take part in worship by updating our livestream capabilities; we plan to launch a podcast so that more can experience the love of Jesus; and we are expanding classes and training in order to help more individuals thrive as Christians.
Your support is making the difference, and we are counting on you in 2020. Please complete the enclosed
Pledge Card by the end of September. We are called to share the healing power of Christ and the real hope that
it brings. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing just that.
